Our members have access to our lending library. It has a wonderful collection of books, periodicals and videos that can be mailed to you. Full details available on our Library page.
There are a couple of different resources for looking for a lace teacher. Firstly, head over to our page on Looking for a Lace Teacher? and put in a request to our list of teachers. Someone will help get you connected.
The Lace Museum is also providing a service allowing lacemakers to find virtual class through their Virtual Teacher page. Teachers who are interested in participating can also use that page to get added to the list.

In partnership with The Lace Museum, we have a wonderful program. It is intended for IOLI members to teach locally or at one-time events. The goal is to provide IOLI members who may not usually teach a ready-made, high-quality curriculum so that they may proliferate lacemaking. It can be found on the Memeber's Only Page. Look under Member's Only Learning Resources > Introduction to Bobbin Lace Curriculum.
The Proficiency Program for Lacemaking provides guidelines for I.O.L.I. members wishing to pursue a peer-reviewed recognition for their lacemaking skills. The journal-based program is designed to challenge the participant to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of lacemaking techniques for a specific family of laces. If you are a skilled lacemaker/artist wondering how to share your craft, the new IOLI Lacemaker to Teacher Program is designed for members like you. This program helps experienced lacemakers - across all techniques like bobbin lace, needle lace, knitting, crochet, and tatting transform their technical expertise into impactful teaching methods.

The Lace Museum is a great resource for a whole variety of things from Lace Classes, an online shop and interesting exhibits both in person and in virtual.
The Lace Guild is the largest lace organization out of the United Kingdom. They have published the Lace Magazine since January of 1976. It is a fantastic resource for ideas, patterns and stories about lace.
OFIDA is another international lace group focusing on Bobbin and Needle Lace.
